Shamayim Try Vegan Challenge

Welcome to the Shamayim Try Vegan Challenge where we encourage you to kick off the month with a positive impact whether you’re looking to better your health, reduce animal suffering, or help the planet! This challenge is designed to inspire you to embrace a plant-based lifestyle for the month, and begins on the 1st of every month!

Challenge Tasks:

  1. Plant-based Only Plates: Commit to only eating plant-based foods (no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or honey) every day throughout January. Get creative with your recipes and explore the delicious world of vegan cuisine.
  2. Cooking Cruelty-free: Experiment with new ingredients and recipes that are free from animal products. Share your culinary creations with the community using #TryVeganWithShamayim
  3. Educate Yourself: Learn more about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle for your health, the environment, and animal welfare. For those completely new to veganism, you might find value in our Beginner’s Guide to Veganism. Then, you can check out the Shamayim podcast or YouTube channel to learn about a variety of topics. You might share interesting facts and insights with your friends and family to raise awareness as well.
  4. Social Support: Join our Facebook group to connect with like-minded individuals. Share your journey, ask questions, and offer support to others taking part in the challenge.

  6. Vegan Events: Participate in local or online Vegan events, such as cooking classes, webinars, or virtual meet-ups. Connect with others who are also taking the Veganuary challenge. Sign up for the Shamayim newsletter to be notified of live webinars and events!

  8. Reflect and Celebrate: At the end of January, reflect on your experience. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, and consider which aspects of a plant-based lifestyle you’d like to adopt moving forward!
